Description
Scotiabank is seeking a dynamic and motivated Performance Test Engineer Intern to join innovative technology team. As a Performance Test Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the success of Scotiabank's technology initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and performance criteria.
- Design and execute performance test scenarios to evaluate the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
- Analyze and interpret performance test results to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with developers, system architects, and quality assurance teams to optimize application performance.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of performance testing frameworks and tools.
- Participate in the creation of performance test documentation, including test plans, scripts, and reports.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in performance testing.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and performance testing methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or Gatling.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
