Environmental Defence Canada is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in environmental advocacy and policy. As an Environmental Defence Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals, contribute to impactful campaigns, and develop essential skills while making a difference in environmental protection and conservation efforts.
- Conduct research on environmental issues, policies, and best practices to support ongoing campaigns and initiatives.
- Assist in the development and execution of advocacy strategies to promote environmental protection and sustainability.
- Collaborate with team members to create compelling content, including blog posts, social media updates, and reports to engage and educate the public.
- Participate in outreach activities, events, and community initiatives aimed at raising awareness and promoting environmental conservation.
- Support administrative tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of various projects within the organization.
- Passion for environmental conservation and a commitment to making a positive impact.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program in environmental studies, public policy, communications, or related fields.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Previous experience or involvement in environmental advocacy or related fields is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in environmental advocacy and policy development.
