Responsibilities
  • Financial Advisory: Offer expert financial advice and guidance to interns participating in EDC's internship programs, ensuring their understanding and application of financial principles.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to contribute to the design and enhancement of EDC's internship initiatives, aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.
  • Training and Mentorship: Facilitate training sessions and mentorship programs to empower interns with financial knowledge and skills, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks associated with internship projects, providing recommendations to mitigate potential challenges and optimize outcomes.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with external partners, academic institutions, and industry experts to enhance the quality and relevance of EDC's internship programs.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support decision-making processes related to the allocation of resources, budgeting, and strategic planning for internship initiatives.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Develop and implement performance metrics to measure the success of internship programs, preparing regular reports for senior management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial advisory roles, with a strong background in risk management and program development.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of international trade, finance, and the role of export credit agencies. Experience in the financial services sector is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor emerging talent. Experience in training and development is an asset.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make strategic recommendations based on financial data.
